OUTSHINE
It was a golden day of early summer
And high in the azure sky
Swallows wheeled and dived
While snow still capped the majestic mountains
And a strange ringing silence stirred the soul
There on a tree lined bank
Watching the stream tumbling enthusiastically
Through flower splashed meadows
An alone Knight stood
In a suit of silver
And a heart of gold
His magnificence outshines all the beauty around.

CARELESS BEAUTY
Dawn breaks
The rays of the rising sun
Dance across still lake waters
And caresses the snow capped peaks
A pair of swans float contentedly by
A serene careless beauty
A delight and inspiration
To poets and painters
But all beauty diminishes
Outshone only by the radiance
Of My Knight In Shining Armor!
